FIFA three-minute hydration breaks midway through each half regardless of temperatures sparked rumours over tactical interruption to provide coaches with a chance to switch momentum in their team’s advantage, to forge their victory.
Whilst statistics confirmed over 5 billion people worldwide watched 2026 FIFA world cup as the tournament generated billions in pecuniary profit, in parallel, United Nation’s report reveals Droughts were causing record devastation worldwide, in following terms:

Football goes beyond the allegations of match fixtures, racism, and instead must be considered as a sport beyond favouritism and brand deals – sadly for some the FIFA world cup has lost the art of celebrating generational talent and cultural symbolism.
According to scientists, three minute refreshment breaks was not even enough as FIFA implemented for the first time in history the hydration break to keep athletes alive throughout the tournament as heatwaves break records 100 degrees.

Wildfires are growing in size and at a lightening pace leaving permanent impacts on communities from around the world.
Ranging from displacing the world population lives, to urgent evacuations, lost homes and expensive renovations of destroyed infrastructures.
The world officials should protect populations worldwide and ensure public resources are spent wisely.
They should ensure safe building: that housing and future infrastructures be built in low-risk locations.
Infrastructure is key to prevent injury, death and property destruction.
Invest in wildfire hazard mapping…

Investing in an effective brand new emergency response system and run multiple tests to ensure it works.
Such as: emergency alerts delivered via social media, mobile phones, landline, work places , television, radio and state-owned billboards.
Ensuring that all new homes are built with fire risks in mind. This would protect individual’s homes and reduce the risk of fires spreading in communities.
Strengthen firefighting capacity. Governments should increase funding for firefighting and emergency responses and improve co-ordination to manage multiple concurrent fires.
Investing in The Home Ignition Zones is key: a buffer around houses that enable to reduce the likelihood of wildfire, create defensible space to reduce the likelihood of flames reaching homes.
Barbecue use in public areas must be regulated worldwide by being either restricted or prohibited, particularly in periods of fire risk.
For that reason, Governments should ensure populations comply with the Article L.131-1 of the Forestry Code prohibits, all year round and in all weather conditions, lighting a fire within 200 metres of woodland.

Ensure fully equipped emergency shelters are easily available with staff ready to respond to physical and emotionally traumatised people.
Providing residents with places to stay and survive after their homes and belongings have been consumed by fire.
Build multiple huge water and power systems.
Governments have the staff and the budget to collaborate with water and power companies to prevent serious health issues and ensure populations have basic necessities after facing a fire disaster.
Provide basic needs such as food, medical care and shelter to help fire survivors heal.
It is believed a large scale of USA data centres will be built on drought-hit land. No wonder a record breaking drought has hit the US during the 2026 World Cup FIFA tournament.
Sadly the AI industry is still not giving up on continuing building the majority of planned data centres set to be constructed in drought-ridden locations.
Experts revealed not only upcoming data centres, require a huge amount of water to operate, but also are set to be built in places that have been among the driest in the country for decades.
According to Christopher Dalbom, an expert in water resources law at the University of Tulane:
“The AI industry is sprinting as fast as it can to gain market dominance, and the rest of us have to deal with a great increase in water demand in places already in drought[…]
“Even if there wasn’t climate change, we’d be feeling the effects of droughts more acutely, because water demand is going up and up, to feed more people and water more lawns and crops. There isn’t enough water to go around. Now with this explosion of data centres, I think a crunch point is inevitable.”
The Middle East war and other modern wars are unleashing emissions exceeding the annual footprint of Iceland, and may cause a long-term effect.
